Keynote Red Alert sends error notifications immediately after
detecting an error condition. Notifications can be sent to
you anytime, anywhere via the following devices:
E-mail
When Keynote Red Alert detects an error condition, it
can send notifications to any e-mail addresses you specify.
Any number of addresses can be used. Different addresses can
be configured to receive notifications about different error
types and different monitored devices.
Links on your Account Summary page enable you to add, delete,
and edit e-mail addresses at any time.
Numeric pager
When Keynote Red Alert detects an error condition, it
can send a notification to your North American numeric pager.
(Notifications can also be sent to North American alphanumeric
pagers and to pagers outside North America.) Links on your
Account Summary page enable you to add, delete, and edit numeric
pagers at any time.
Notification messages to numeric pagers consist of 10 digits:

For example, the message 2001880255 indicates that
Error Type 2 has been detected for a device with IP address
xxx.xxx.188.255.
*A message whose first three digits are 999 indicates
that the device is OK again (i.e. the error has been fixed).
For example, the message 9991880255 means that a device
with IP address xxx.xxx.188.255 is no longer experiencing
an error condition.
Alphanumeric pager
When Red Alert detects an error condition, it can send
a notification to your North American alphanumeric pager.
(Notifications can also be sent to North American numeric
pagers and to pagers outside North America.)
You may have any number of alphanumeric pagers configured
to receive error notifications. Keynote Red Alert works with
all North American alphanumeric pagers with industry standard
TAP / IXO dialup modem numbers (this applies to almost everyone).
Pagers outside North America
Please contact us at +1 (972) 578-7400 or sales@redalert.com
to arrange for error notifications to paging systems outside
North America. Our paging dispatch center interacts very cost
effectively with most text paging/messaging systems in Europe,
Asia-Pacific and Latin America.
Mobile phone with text
Alphanumeric notifications can be sent to text-enabled
cellular phones via both e-mail address and TAP/IXO protocol.
All errors detected by Keynote Red Alert for a particular
device are recorded in a seven-day rolling Error Log. You
may access this log at any time by clicking on the "Error
Log" link in the device's entry on your Account Summary
page. This log includes the nature of the error, who was notified,
and when the problem was resolved.
At the end of each day, Keynote Red Alert sends out monitoring
summaries via e-mail, showing the number of checks performed
and number of errors detected for the devices monitored. Each
e-mail address on your Account Summary page shows whether
it is currently configured to receive daily reports.
